You should study tactics and endgames not openings. Additionally play as much as you can but after you have played study your games especially your losses

Players have attended the club from age 6
No, you are welcome to leave them as we will have your emergency contact details at the club.
No, they can take part in all the session or just for a short while. It is up to you but bear in mind the coaching normally starts at about 7pm.
Yes, we encourage parents or carers to play alongside the children
Yes we do but we make sure that all players are ready before they play in these events. If children just want to play social chess that is completely fine.
Yes we have an extensive library that books can be borrowed from
Yes we do but children are welcome to bring their own sweets and drinks. Parents and carers who stay for the sessions get free tea and coffee
Yes the centre has wheelchair access and we have equipment for partially sighted or blind players. We have taught many children who have ADS, Autism and Aspergers
Yes as we had lots of enquiries during lockdown we are going to try some adult sessions on Wednesdays
Yes you can but before you do that make sure that this is at the right time in your chess learning and that you find the right coach for you.
You should not pay any more than £25 for an hour online or face to face session regardless of the coach
